On 11 October 2021, when he had already won his first two races under Philippe Allaire's training and had then been bought by Sébastien Dewulf - seduced by the son of Eridan, who had made a career for the Dewulf family -, Jaguar Wit won on the Enghien track and set a new course record over 2,175 metres for a 2yo in 1'14''6.
Nine months later, the same Jaguar Wit won his first Group 3 race - the first for a product of Eridan - in the Prix de Rome and beat the 2,150 metres course record (autostart) for a 3yo in 1'11''8, even better than the 1'12''4 of Izoard Védaquais (Bird Parker) last summer in the Prix de Berlin (Gr. 3).
"It's of course a pleasure to win a Group with a son of Eridan," confided the young owner on Equidia Racing, "especially as the colt wins really well and didn't steal his victory. We value him but it hasn't always gone well. He did his last five hundred metres in 1'08''5. He takes after his father. He is better on a flat track and is the real horse to go abroad."
