Leading French sire ORLANDO VICI has landed his first Australian 2yo winner of the season.
ROHAAN won on debut for Ballarat trainer Anton Golino at Bendigo on July 20.
The colt did not put a foot out of place as he
settled on the back of the leader and then third on the pegs before working home impressively to saluted by almost 4m in a 2:3.9 mile rate over 2150m.
Orlando Vici had only three foals born in Australia in 2016-17 and Rohaan is the first to race.
He was bred and is raced by Yabby Dam Farms at Ballarat and is out Yankee Paco US mare Class Of Her Own – making Rohaan a half-brother to group 1 winner Always Ready (Ready Cash Fra).
Class Of Her Own also has a weanling colt by Orlando Vici.
Orlando Vici has now had 13 starters in Australia this season, with 12 of them winning.
