QUAKER JET ADDS TO NZ TALLY

EXPENSIVE CRUMPET has become QUAKER JET's first New Zealand-bred multiple winner.

The four-year-old mare had her second success in the Paper Plus Te Awamutu Trot, 2700m, at  Cambridge on Thursday, September 10.

With David Butcher in the cart, Expensive Crumpet rolled to the lead with 2000m to run and went on to score by more than two lengths - rating 2:5.4 from the stand.

Expensive Crumpet was bred by AJ Parker and PRA Parker, and is from Quaker Jet's oldest crop in NZ.

The French-bred son of champion sire LOVE YOU has had just four NZ-bred foals to the races for three winners.

Arc De Triomphe and Horace Horse are his other progeny to have saluted from a handful of starts.
